Forgandenny marches for Children's Rights
On the 6th of November Forgandenny Primary learners from Primaries 5-7 travelled to Edinburgh to the Children's Parliament to celebrate the UNCRC Rights of the Child 30th birthday. They then marched to the Scottish Parliament with a piper leading the way to celebrate the commitment to incorporate children's rights into Scots Law before 2021. The children had the opportunity to listen to Kate Gilmore, UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Maree Todd, MSP.
The Forgandenny banners were held high on this wonderful afternoon of celebration. A huge thank you to all those involved in organising the afternoon and to our wonderful parent helpers who attended.
